雨花石，是中国四大观赏石之中的佼佼者，玉质天章，鬼斧神工，方寸晶体之间尽现大千世界方方面面，备受历代名人，诸如柳宗元、苏东坡、郝经、米万钟、曹雪芹、孔尚任，乃至近代郭沫若、梅兰芳、徐悲鸿、周恩来的推崇。到了现代，寻觅收藏雨花石的队伍已形成大军，遍布海内外，中央文化部应势在十年前已拍成专题片《雨花石》，以十种语言发行于全世界。雨花石，已被世人誉为石中皇后，堪称中华一绝。

　　傅天虹博士，是一位著名的诗人，出版家和收藏家，出生于雨花石的命名故乡南京城，由外公外婆扶养成人，外公杨乐民喜爱雨花石，时为南京文物商店经理，是古玩鉴赏家，傅天虹受其薰陶，也爱雨花石。他早年曾任雨花台区政府文化干部数年，就在雨花台广场旁办公，稍有空闲，便溜去咫尺之外诸多石头摊流连，日积月累，藏石竟也逾千，其中不乏国宝级的文物石。

APPRECIATION OF COLLECTION OF YUHUA-STONE BY FU TIANHONG

　　Yuhua-stone, the best of China’s four stones for appreciation; of the quality of jade and endowed stamp; crafty and skillful. Varieties of pictures of the world are fully displayed in between the inch of crystals. They have been cherished and recommended by personage of all generations like Liu Zongyuan, Su Dongpo, Hao Jing, Mi Wanzhong, Cao Xueqin, Kong Shangren, as well as Guo Moruo, Mei Lanfang, Xu Beihong, and Zhou Enlai in modern times. At current times, people in exploration and collection of Yuhua-stone have formed an army all over the world. Which has been filmed by the Culture Department in the special-themed movie The Yuhua-stone，published in 10 languages all over the world. Yuhua-stone has been noted as an exquisite art of China.

　　Dr. Fu Tianhong, a well-known poet, publisher as well as collector，was born in Nanjing, where Yuhua-stone has been named. He has been brought up by his grandfather(his grandfather was a master in cultural relics in Nanjing at that time), who loved Yuhua-stone. He has thus been well influenced in this respect and taken a fancy to Yuhua-stone. He used to act as a cultural cadre with Yuhuatai District Government for several years with his office in a western building beside the stone stairs of Yuhuatai Plaza. As soon as he was free for a little while, he would sneak to linger at the stone booths several feet away. By and by, he has collected stones over a thousand varieties with the ones passed from generations to generations, out of which there are stones of cultural relics treated as state treasure.
Now part of the collection is displayed for the fans to appreciate.
