我不是从东洋来
没有和你们作九十度的鞠躬
磕头……

我也不是从西洋来
没有和你们作多情的拥抱
亲吻……

我伸出岛国阳光晒黑了的
黑黝黝的手
你伸出珠江三角洲滋润过的
黑黝黝的手

我和你们--
祖国的农民兄弟
我们紧紧的，热烈的
握手！

PEASANTS BY THE PEARL RIVER

I'm not from Japan
I've not bowed low
Or knelt down to you…

I'm not from the West either
I've not hugged you lovingly
Or kissed you gently…

I stretch out my hand
Tanned by the sun over the island country
You stretch out your sun-burnt hand
Moistened by the Pearl River Delta

I shake hands with you------
Peasant brothers of the motherland
We hold each other's hands fast
A warm handshake!
