妈妈嘱咐我回乡时
捡回她遗失了四十年的镜
镜-- 还能看到她圆月似的脸蛋么

妈妈曾经天天在镜前梳妆
她的圆圆的脸庞很甜 很美
-- 如果浮萍和落叶涂乱了明镜
就把它拭擦乾净吧！

妈妈还说
那一泓清澈的明亮也是老奶奶的心
冬天-- 微热蒸蔚
炎夏-- 清凉沁心

我循着小径探行
天色灰灰 镜面黑黑
有一条透明的塑胶管爬这爬那
它那涓涓滴滴的透明
能滋润妈妈乾渴已久的希望么？

WELL

Mama requested me
To bring back the mirror
That she had lost forty years ago
When I returned to our home village
Could the mirror see
Her face round as the moon?

Mama used to make up
In front of the mirror
Her face was sweet and beautiful
----- If the mirror is blurred
By duckweed and fallen leaves
Wipe it clean!

Mama said
Its clear brightness was
Old grandma's heart
In winter----- it's lukewarm
In summer----- it's cool

I groped my way
All along the track
The sky was gray and the mirror was dark
There's a transparent plastic hose curling around
Could its limpid trickle
Moisten the thirst of Mama's long----- cherished wish?
