Poems of Li Xia
Just Like a Thief
Like Daughter,
Before he stretched out his hand
I dodged
Not because there were no coins in my pocket
Nor because it was hard to see his rags
But because I could not stand
His smell
A blind man by the overpass
Was playing erhu
In a tone more melancholy than Ah Bing抯 Er Quan Ying
Yue
In the ragged cotton hat nearby
Crouched a couple of coins
I put two notes of ten yuan into it
All the eyes around
Turned to me at once
Just like a thief?I hurried to hide myself in the
crowds.
A Bite
A bite——Crack——
In the red apple
a white pit——
and pits——
White expands——
In no time,
Nothing is left in the hand,
But all sweetness in the tummy
And a bit of sourness——
Often ignored
Does the tree know of this?
Each year, t's satisfied with TAKE-IT-ALL.
