卷 首 语

　　不久前，传来老诗人臧克家因病逝世的消息，还有更稍一些传来老诗人王辛笛逝世的消息，都令我们悲痛不已。这些老诗人为中国新诗的发展作出了卓越的贡献，为我们后人留下了不少珍贵的作品，他们将永远受到我们的尊重，活在后人的心中。

　　老诗人臧克家和王辛笛先生，他们生前都自选佳作交给了我们，出版了汉英对照的短诗自选集。上一期刊物上，我们特别推荐刊出多首王辛笛双语短诗，这一期刊物上，我们又大篇幅推出臧克家多首双语短诗。为了促进中外诗学交流，我们正在努力，感到荣幸和安慰。

　　本期来诗稿太多，辟为诗作专辑了。刊物上，我们会看到老中青三代诗人的佳作各具特色，相映成趣；中外诗人的作品背景不同，互成比较，诗坛并不寂寞，弥漫出一片迷人的春色。

PREFACE

　　There are no words which may express our great sorrow on hearing of the successive deaths of the respected poets Cang Kejia and Wang Xindi, who left us a lot of precious works and made great contributions in the development of modern Chinese poetry. They deserve our respect and shall live in our hearts forever.

　　We are honored to have published the bilingual collections of short poems as selected by themselves prior to their death. We are gratified to make the special recommendation of Mr. Wang Xindi's poems in the previous issue and of Mr. Cang Kejia's poems in the current issue.

　　We have received so many submissions as to now publish them as a special issue of poetry, in which you may read different poems of unique characteristics written by poets of three generations. It is very exciting to give comparisons and contrasts between these of different nations or backgrounds. We exert ourselves in the promotion of a global exchange of poetics and to welcome the arrival of spring at our Poetry Circle.
