Ye Man (1921? ) writer, poet, is a native of Jiaoling
County, Guangdong. In 1939 he was a co-editor with
Pu Feng of Lingdong Magazine of China Poem Circle.
In 1940, he joined the Guilin Branch of China Literary
Association, in 1946 he co-edited China Poem Circle
in Guangzhou with Huang Ningying, and in 1946 he edited
Literary Century. After the founding of the Republic,
he presided over the editing of literary supplements
in Yangcheng Evening News and Guangzhou Daily and
the professional literary creation of Guangzhou Literature
and Art Association. Meanwhile he was a member of
China Writers Association, First Vice-Chairman of
Guangzhou Writers Association, Vice Chairman of China
Poetic Society, Chairman of the International Poets
Pen Club, and the editor in chief, senior-editor of
Huaxia Poem Journal. His publications include 20 kinds
of poems, poetic theories, and essays. Some poems
and essays of his were collected in 80 selections,
and translated into English, Japanese, Korean, German,
Yugoslavian and Romanian and published in those countries.
Ye Man has attended as a member of the Chinese Writers
Delegation conferences like the 30th World Writers
Conference and the 24th Poem Festival held in Belgrade,
and visited Romania, Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia
on invitation. At the same time he attended the 10th
and 16th World Poets Assembly held in Thailand and
Japan.
