张默自选短诗小辑

　　张默(Zhang Mo)，本名张德中(Zhang Teh-chung)，安徽省无为县人，1931年2月7 日生。童年在家乡读私塾、简师。1949 年由南京经上海乘船到基隆，旋即参加海军。1954年秋与洛夫、痖弦共同创辨《创世纪》(The Epoch Poetry Quarterly)到今天。著有诗集《爱诗》、《光阴·梯子》、《落叶满阶》、《张默·世纪诗选》等多种。并主编重要诗选集《新诗三百首》、《中华现代文学大系·诗卷》，对台湾现代诗的耕耘，不遗余力。诗作曾被译成多种外国文字。

ZHANG MO'S COLLECTION OF SHORT POEMS SELECTED BY HIMSELF

　　Zhang Mo, originally Chang Teh-chung, a native of Wuwei County, Anhui Province, was born on February 7, 1931. In childhood he was educated in some old-styled private school and a normal school. In 1949 he started from Nanjing and through Shanghai to Chilung (Keelung) of Taiwan by boat. He then joined the Navy. In the autumn of 1954, he established in collaboration with Luo Fu and Ya Zi "The Epoch Poetry Quarterly", which is still in circulation today. His works are: Collection of "Love Poems", "Time. Ladder", "Fallen Leaves on the Courtyard", "Zhang Mo. Selected Poems of the Century", etc. He presided over the editing of important selections of poems like "300 New Poems" and "Poetry Volume of Modern Literature of China", sparing no efforts in the cultivation of modern poems in Taiwan. His poetic works have been translated into versions of several foreign languages.
